Great Science Books for Kids
It’s very difficult to find good science books to read to my students, whether they’re in 1st grade or 5th. But a series I think belongs in every home library is called Let’s Read And Find Out Science Books.
These books are well illustrated, and cover topics ranging from volcanoes, earthquakes and plate tectonics to rare animals, life in a coral reef and weather. They are simple enough to read to a first grader, using the drawings to make connections, yet complex enough for a 5th grader to get the finer points of the topic. These books encourage kids to become excited about studying the world around them. I recommend them for any kid who has an interest in a certain scientific topic or if you want to spark your kid’s interest.
