So the other day my friend’s 7 year-old son was over at my apartment after I’d returned from a jog. He asked me how far I’d gone and I told him, “About 3 miles.” He asked how I knew. And that’s when it dawned on me. “I’ll show him the website, Map My Ride, and he can use this as a great way to track the distance of his commute on the bus to school, his walk to a friend’s house and anything else. He can add up how many miles he travels each week, find out his weekly average. I’m gonna do this with my class.” The ways to use this website are infinite. Check it out.
